It was clear from an early age that music would one day be his life.
Peter comes from a very musical family. His father was also a bassist and even played other instruments at a high level. Nevertheless, during the difficult post-war years, his father chose a secure job to survive. Peter followed in his footsteps at the age of 17 when he began his career as a professional musician and took the risk of not working a 9-to-5 job.
Peter had already studied guitar for a few years and then switched to bass, which he taught himself without ever taking lessons. After just three years, he was able to hold his own in professional bands.
Until he was 30, Peter toured Europe as a sideman in all sorts of constellations and genres.
After that, he realized that playing other people's music no longer satisfied him. He had experienced almost every musical situation and played every style. It was time for a change.
Peter began composing and set up his first studio in 2001 to produce his own music.
After a while he managed to gather enough material for his first album. In addition to composing and focusing on the bass as a solo instrument, Peter discovered his ability to mix music and thus also mastered the field of sound engineering.
The result of this work was the album "M-Vibez," which he released in 2003. A funk-driven masterpiece with a jazzy attitude, which was to be a surprise success. But the road to this release was initially rocky, as all the record companies Peter contacted, rejected his album.
Peter then founded his own record label, "Mullennium Records," and released the album. The response exceeded all expectations; the album reached the top 20 of the German jazz charts, and many listeners all over the world also became aware of the album "M-Vibez."
Peter achieved the unimaginable: establishing himself from scratch in the music world and the bass scene. The album "M-Vibez" has since become a classic and continues to be played on the radio worldwide.
His follow-up album, "The Flow" (2008), also charted several times in the iTunes charts and is a logical development of his debut album.
He also improved his production skills and increasingly collaborated with other artists. His work in sound engineering, mixing, and mastering took up more and more space. It took until 2014 for Peter to release his most recent album. On "No Mind," he expanded his circle of musicians and also integrated vocals into his compositions.
Peter's path to the present has once again been marked by change. His constant curiosity led him to the management of various music schools. Imparting knowledge to students who wanted to pursue a career in music was particularly important to him in the years that followed.
At the same time, he continued to expand his studio and produce music for various artists.
In the increasingly difficult and competitive music business, he achieved another success in early 2024 when he reached the top 10 of the British Soul Charts as producer of the album "Circles" by the Band "Soulrender." Bringing a German band to the top of soul music in the UK is also a testament to Peter's continued professionalism and determination.
Now that 11 years have passed since Peter's last album, he is finally devoting himself to producing a new album with the working title "Project pmX." We can't wait to see what's in store!
